Time Strategies

Image
The two articles I read for my time management blog posts were, " The Important Habit of Just Starting " and " How to Beat Procrastination ". I thought these two articles would be the best for how I look at things. I've always been one to procrastinate and not really look into doing the work until right before the deadline and it is an AWFUL habit of mine. (I'm sure many people feel the same). I enjoyed reading the article on the habit of starting because it kind of goes hand in hand with how I do things. I rely too much on waiting till the last minute to get started and if I would 'just start', then I would never have to worry about procrastination. I think the biggest thing I took out of the beating procrastination article was that, it will feel so amazing once you get it done and don't have to worry about a due date because it is done with. That really hit home because I enjoy things getting done early, but the way it makes me feel is a whole

Technology Tools

Image
I am, for the most part, familiar with all of the technology tools you have provided in this blog post for our class to do. Like I said in the last post, this class is unlike any classes I have ever taken, mainly because I have never dealt with blogging or had to in any of my classes but that is the main difference between any of the other online classes I have taken. There is not any web skills that I can think of that I want to work on this semester and I can't think of any tips/tricks I have to share with the class.   Technology Tools  - Technology tools for blogging and understanding online classes

Class Assignments Review

Image
The assignments I am most intrigued by are project feedback and storytelling. The project feedback is something that catches my eye because it will be nice to have feedback from other students about how you are doing on your project, and with your blogging. For extra credit opportunities, there are a couple of them that catches my eyes. Tech tips, extra commenting, famous last words, and check-in and connect. All of these would be things that I would be interested in doing, especially if they are for extra credit opportunities. This class is unlike any class I have ever taken. I love the fact it is all online and you get to decide when you work on stuff, but also I have never blogged in my life before, but I am excited for it.  Image from google  - image that says blogging and gets me excited for this course

Growth Mindset

Image
Growth Mindset Something that comes in mind when listening to this is how Carol Dweck talks about 2 different surveys and how when kids fail, they would probably cheat the next time rather than studying harder. Also, in the other survey talks about how they would find someone who did worse than them. It particular to this course, I like how there is no need for either of that for anyone. This course is based on your own writing and blogging, as long as you can do it, you will achieve greatness in this class. You don't have to worry about cheating like some kids do, or even comparing yourself to someone else. You just do what you have to do and get it done. I hadn't learned about her growth mindset before I watched this video and I'm so glad I got to watch and listen to her words about kids growing and doing great in their future life. I really look forward to learning more about this growth mindset during this semester in this class if we are to do so. Image from google ..

Logan's Introduction

Image
Hello fellow classmates, My name is Logan Biggs and I was born in Dallas, Texas on February 3rd, 1998. I have lived in Frisco, Texas since I was in 8th grade, but has always lived in the great state of Texas. I grew up playing soccer since I was 10 and I actually attended Midwestern State University my freshman year on a soccer scholarship. I got hurt, but, short story, ended up here at The University of Oklahoma and my time here has been great. This is my 3rd year here and I am majoring in Finance. Money and math has always been a passion of mine since I can remember. Something cool about my major is that, sometimes, depending what you do, you get to be a strategist for other companies and take care of the financial decisions they choose to make. The best class I took last semester was Business Finance. In my opinion, this was my favorite class because this is what I am majoring in and I really enjoy doing financial problems. My favorite type of movies are comedy and action movies. M

My Storybook Favorites

Image
Reincarnation https://sites.google.com/view/khangsstorybook/intro This story called 'Reincarnation' caught my eye and so I decided to read about it. I really enjoyed reading about this and understanding everything about it. The introduction was very well thought out and includes background about everything you need to know about the story. It talks about different characters who believe in reincarnation and what each of their names stand for. Reincarnation was something I was already familiar about, but I enjoyed everything about this storybook. It was definitely my favorite one. Reading about Lakshmi, a mother goddess, was really interesting and It was something I enjoyed. The overall design is laid out very good.  I've Got a Job for You https://sites.google.com/view/ive-got-a-job-for-you/home The next story I chose to pick and read about was called 'I've Got a Job for You'. I didn't know what to expect when I decided to click on this title but I am glad I

Dallas, TX... Coronado, CA... Cabo San Lucas, Mexico... Favorite Places

Image
Dallas, Texas Dallas Skyline - Google Images,  Dallas, TX I have lived in the suburbs  North of Dallas my whole life. Dallas will always be the place I call home for now and it is such an amazing and beautiful city. The sky line is one of my favorite things about Dallas. Coronado, California Coronado Island, Hotel Del Coronado in the back - Coronado Beach Coronado California is like my second home, I used to visit there all the time in the summer with my friends and I. Coronado is one of the most prettiest places, in my opinion, to visit. Coronado is it's own island, you have to take the San Diego Bridge to get there. One of the most amazing places I have ever been. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Pool at the Riu Hotel (Look how pretty) - Cabo San Lucas Riu One place I want to visit. I was supposed to go here over spring break but corona took that a way from me :(. Looks so amazing and I've only heard mostly good things about it (Other than how dangerous Mexico can be), but it looks s
