Story of 2 animals running from this broken earth, Week 3

One early morning, this squirrel was running around a group of real life humans, having the time of his life when all of a sudden something scary to the squirrel happened. These humans decided that it would be funny to antagonize the little creature. They decided to throw acorns around him, and everyone knows squirrels love acorns, but it came at the little guy so fast, he got super worried. The squirrel decides to run off, on his run, he runs into a cat. (I know squirrels and cats don;'t like eachother, but this story is a little different). The cat starts following the squirrel, and is scared for it's life, but then the cat gentle meows at the squirrel, and they start running away from the humans.

The cat and the squirrel had the time of their lives, but the cat was confused where it was running from. So they both run back and creep by the humans without them seeing the 2. They see that they are just being kids and run away. The two fall in love and live happily ever after. The "broken earth", is referred to as the acorn hitting the ground the squirrel was on/lived on.

Authors Note: In the original story, a rabbit slept under a palm tree and got woken up by a coconut a monkey dropped. He runs because he is scared and thinks the world is breaking and runs into hundreds of rabbits, a deer, elephant, fox, and then lastly a Lion who all join him besides the "King of Beasts, which is the Lion. The Lion takes the original rabbit back to where he was and they realized it was just the sound of the coconut hitting the ground. The Lion says, 'You foolish Rabbit.

  1. Logan,

I also chose to make a new version of this story as well. I liked how you made the story really wholesome compared to the original post. The fact that the species end up together is much more happy than one being shamed by the other and called an idiot. I look forward to reading more of your stories in the future.

  2. Logan,

I think it's a very interesting and awesome choice that you chose to have the cat and the squirrel get along instead of be at each other's throats. The story gets across your point very well along with having some dialogue that makes the whole thing kind of comical. It would be interesting to have some sort of dialogue between the cat and the squirrel and to be able to see a sort of progression of their love rather than just bluntly stating it. What a cool story!
