The reading that I most enjoyed was called "The Foolish, Timid Rabbit" by Ellen C. Babbitt. I really love animals and this reading was very interesting to me for many reasons. This reading made me excited about possibly doing my own about the Rabbit and all of the other animals but maybe changing it where 2 animals who are running from this "broken earth" fall in love or something. Here's a little break down in bullet points of what happened in this reading:

1. Rabbit thinks to himself, oh what if the earth is breaking, something falls and the Rabbit thinks it is so takes off running.

2. Lots and lots of Rabbits follow him on this journey of running from the breaking earth because he told all the other Rabbits that he/she witnessed it first hand.

3. As they were running, the Rabbits pass by a Deer, a Fox, and an Elephant. All of these animals join on the journey of running as far as they can to get away.

4. Lion sees all of them running and is curious so blocks them off from running anymore. Figures out who first came up with this rumor and the first Rabbit goes with the Lion to see where this was happening and the reasoning behind it.

5. The Lion to the Rabbit "It must have been the sound of the coconut falling to the ground that you heard, You foolish Rabbit!"

The Lion in this story is consider the King of Beasts and if it wasn't for him, who knows where these animals would've ran off to. They could've kept running forever and ever but thankful to an animal who cares and is curious, the animals become safe and unstressed out.

The "Beast" and the Rabbit who thought the earth was breaking running to the first initial reason why.
